我在对每一个熟悉的词汇，
下一个新的定义。
用上我所有的知识，
还有意识。
都不如，
诗人原本的语言，
那样
命中注定。

I keep redefining
every word
I thought I knew.
I pour into it
everything I've learned,
everything I am aware of—
And still,
nothing matches
the poet's native language,
the one that arrives
as if
it had always been
destined.
FRANÇAIS
Je redéfinis
chaque mot que je croyais connaître.
J'y mets
tout mon savoir,
toute ma conscience.
Et pourtant,
rien n'égale
la langue première du poète,
celle qui tombe
comme si tout
était déjà écrit.
